Successes and Awards

I am extremely grateful to have had such a successful season in this year’s Feis Ceoil competitions. As always it was an absolute joy to take part in and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from esteemed adjudicators such as Mark Wildman and Suzanne Murphy.

Mark Wildman was my former head of department when I studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and Suzanne Murphy was also a student of my beloved late-teacher, Ronnie - so it was an absolute pleasure to speak with both of them and share fond memories.

I had the privilege of winning the Margaret Burke-Sheridan cup for the best of the female voices in the Feis. I was also highly commended for my performance of Mabel’s Poor Wand’ring One from Gilbert & Sullvian’s operetta, The Pirates of Penzance.
